Rita El Hage is a fine jewellery designer who didn't learn the craft she was raised inside it. Today she designs unusual, certified, one-of-a-kind pieces in Dubai, UAE for women and men who refuse to wait for an occasion to celebrate themselves.
Born into it
I grew up surrounded by jewellery. My father and my brothers spoke a language made of gold, diamonds, gemstones and silver and long before I understood it, I was listening. Dinner conversations were about cut and colour, weight and rarity. For my family, jewellery was never just a business. It was the way we saw the world.
I started drawing my own designs when I was nine years old. Rings, necklaces, pieces I imagined for people who didn't exist yet. I filled sketchbooks I never showed anyone designs that lived only in my head, ideas waiting for the courage to become real.

The pieces people noticed
For as long as I can remember, people have stopped to ask me about my jewellery and my style. Even as a little girl, the pieces I drew and wore drew attention there was something in them people hadn't seen before.
So I designed for myself first. Then my friends began asking. Then their friends. Quietly, without ever planning it, I was making jewellery for people who wanted something that felt truly theirs.
The journey to Dubai
In 2019, I moved to Dubai and the questions only grew louder. People asked about my pieces every single day. "Why aren't you doing this for yourself? Why don't you open your own place, so people can actually buy these?" I heard it so many times, I finally listened.
After completing my Master's in Visual Communication and Digital Design, I began my journey here in earnest designing first for friends, then building a network of clients entirely through word of mouth: the most genuine recommendation there is. For the last few years, I've done nothing but design unusual, one-of-a-kind pieces for people who wanted something no one else had.
My philosophy
I don't repeat a single style. Every piece I design is its own world built around a person, a feeling, a moment. Some are bold and architectural. Some are soft and quiet. What connects them isn't a shape; it's an idea: that a piece of jewellery should reflect exactly who you are.
And it should be real. Every diamond I work with is certified GIA, IGI set in solid 18k gold. Unusual design never means compromised quality. If anything, it demands more of it.

My mission
Here is what I believe most of all: you should never wait for someone else to celebrate you. Not for a proposal. Not for an anniversary. Not for permission.
The woman who buys her own ring. The man who marks his own milestone. The person who simply decided that today, they are worth it. That is who I design for.
Because the occasion was never something someone else gives you. You are the occasion.
